Fans of Hong Kong cop dramas will get a kick out of Sleeping Dogs, an open-world action game from Square Enix.

Set in modern day Hong Kong, the game focuses on Wei Shen, an undercover police officer sent to infiltrate the Triad.

This being an open-world game, you can expect to commandeer all types of funky vehicles such as sports cars, superbikes and motorboats for high speed chases.

The environment will be closely modelled after real world locations in Hong Kong - expect to see locations like Victoria Peak during your virtual visit to the city, for instance.

You are guaranteed to run into trouble in the game and Wei Shen is skilled in both martial arts and gun fights.

Taking cover in gun battles is important and the game's free-running feature lets him easily navigate around obstacles to get a better shot at his enemies.

There will also be lots of things to do in virtual Hong Kong like going out on dates, joining fight clubs and betting on cockfights.

The game is out in stores now for the PlayStation3 (RM169), Xbox 360 (RM179) and PC (RM156). - CHONG JINN XIUNG
